Historic Mooresville, the 1818 town older than the State, combines the best of small town life with historic preservation and education to fulfill its vision of “History Lives.” The town’s resident volunteers are constantly evaluating fundraising events that will appeal to all ages while providing funds for the preservation of the historic public buildings: the 1821 Stagecoach Inn and Tavern, the 1839 Brick Church, and the 1840 Post Office.
Our small town, less than 60 residents, is grateful for the generous support and participation of numerous loyal friends, benefactors, and new and returning visitors who have made it possible for Mooresville’s story to be told and its history to be preserved for future generations.
