Visit Mooresville

The town of Mooresville is honored to be home to four distinctly historic buildings.

The circa 1821 Stagecoach Tavern, reportedly the oldest frame public building in the state of Alabama.

The circa 1839 Brick Church, a distinctively elegant Greek Revival building.

The circa 1840 Mooresville Post Office, the oldest continuing operating post office in the state and one of the oldest in the country.

The circa 1854 Church of Christ, owned and maintained by the Church of Christ.

The Churches and Stagecoach Tavern are open only for the Holiday Progressive Dinner, and Guided Group Tours. The Post Office is open from 8am – 10am, Monday – Saturday.
